We decided to go for a drive a couple of Sundays ago. So where else would we go but to Bone. LOL! We packed a picnic and hauled all of the kids up there. It was soooo gorgeous. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. Especially up there. The kids had so much fun playing on Great Grandpa's tractor, feeding the horses, looking at all of the cows and just being outdoors. It was fabulous. When you are up there, you are literally in the middle of nowhere surrounded by Aspen and sage brush, and yet it is honestly one of the most beautiful places. The sky is bright blue, all of the leaves are changing colors and there's just the faintest of breezes. You realise just how small you are here on the Earth and that our Heavenly Father knew exactly what he was doing when he created this world. It's so peaceful up there. I'm grateful that our family has a little sanctuary to go to during the year, away from all of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There have been so many happy memories up there and I'm glad my children will be able to make many more throughout their lives.

Better catch up

Whitney finally started a blog. I realized that it has been wayyyy too long since I've updated mine. It reminded me that this is how a lot of friends and family stay updated with our everyday lives. Especially those who live far away. So I'm going to try and do better.

These were taken about a little while ago when Mom came up to visit. She surprised us, which was AWESOME! I really wish all of our family lived closer together. But we make do with what we get. The kids are all getting so big, so fast. So it's nice that my mom takes time out of her life to come up here as often as she can. The kids LOVE their Grammy.

I know I need to update

You know it's bad when Dad of all people is the one telling me I need to update my blog. LOL! I do need to and there is so much that has happened in the last month. Let me find the cord to download some pics and I promise I will post something new. Probably tomorrow. It will be a good Sunday project.

#3 and last post for the day

Today (May 5Th) is also my big brother Ryan's 30Th Birthday! I know I have been giving him crap about being OLD, but it's only because I love him. And I know none of my siblings will be nice to me when it's my turn. However, Ryan is the best big brother. He truly was the "man" of the house growing up and he did a dang good job. My brother is always there when we need him and has always been the person to make us laugh when we are down. He's smart, sensitive (hello, he was around all girls), athletic, a fabulous singer, a loyal friend, a family man, hard worker, good listener, funny, a great dad and the best big brother I could have asked for. Happy Birthday Ry, I love you very much!

(Yes, I have a special family and No we can't just smile)

#2 post

This has been a busy past few days. David and I celebrated our 8Th anniversary yesterday (4Th). It is crazy to think that the time has gone by that fast. We also realized that I have been pregnant 4 out of 8. LOL! Poor guy. But I am truly blessed to have David as my husband. He has never let me down and he is always there for me for everything. He is my best friend and I love him very much.

I'm a new Auntie!!!

Whitney finally had her baby! As soon as I download some pics I will post them. Everything went fabulous. Harley Lynn Summers was born on May 3rd (Whit's due date) after only 6 hours of labor. LUCKY girl. She weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz and was 21 inches long. She is adorable! She does have a little dark hair but not as much as I thought she would've had. Brady was such a trooper through the whole thing and they are both super proud and excited parents. Mom and baby are doing very well and she went home today (Tuesday). I am so happy for my baby sister and I am so proud of her.
